Spell upgrades
We get two new spells at level six. The first is a upgrade to our Wrath spell and the second is Thorns, which is another buff spell. Replace the old Wrath spell on your action bar with the new one and put the Thorns spell next to your Mark Of The Wild spell. When you have Thorns cast on yourself you will cause extra damage each time you are hit, so having both of these buff spells active before fighting is a good idea. I've included a screenshot of what my action bar now looks like below.
You will also notice that Baine in the center of the village has a new quest for you. Go pick that up but don't worry about it for the moment. First, go back to the area beside the well and finish off the other two quests.
As I said before, while you are killing plainstriders, wolves and swoops you may pick up the items needed by the Mazzranache quest. The one other thing you will need is a cougar femur. The closest cougars can be found north of this area across the path, so take a trip back and forth till you have all the paws, talons, quills and items for Mazzranache that you need.
Also, walking up and down this path is an NPC called Morin Cloudstalker who has yet another quest for you to pick up called The Ravaged Caravan, so pick that up as well. Once you've completed all three quests get back to the village, sell your loot, hand the quests in and pick up the new quests from Mull Thunderhorn. You should have got to level 7 by the time you handed all of these quests in.
Repairing your gear
Go back to the main hut in the village and talk to any of the armor or weapon merchants on the left. On the bottom left hand side of the trade window you will see a set of repair options. As you use your weapons and armor they lose durability and need to be repaired every now and then before they break. Go ahead and repair all of your equipment. It shouldn't cost you more than a few copper for now.
Professions
In World Of Warcraft you have the option of picking up to two professions that allow you to gather materials from the world around you and then to make items using these materials. The gathering professions are skinning, mining and herbalism. The crafting professions are alchemy, blacksmithing, enchanting, engineering, leatherworking and tailoring.
Since money is very important to us at this early level and since gathering professions are a good source of income I would recommend going with two gathering professions at the start. Later on you can switch one of the gathering professions to a crafting profession when you have a little cash stored away. I'm going to go with skinning and mining for this character.
